Q. I’ve never played guitar before, how long will it take me to learn the guitar enough of the basics?
A. You can learn enough about the basics of guitar in about a year to 18 months of playing.
Q. What type of guitar would you recommend to start with?
A. I recommend starting with a steel strung acoustic guitar, however you can also start with an electric guitar. If you wish to learn classical, obviously you will need a classical guitar.
Q. Do you teach kids to play guitar?
A. Yes I teach kids from the age of 6+. I can also provide a good fun syllabus.
Q. What type of guitar should I get my child?
A. I recommend a 3/4 size classical guitar.
Q. Do you teach more advanced students?
A. Yes I teach more advanced students and have had some students who have gone on to pursue their career in guitar. I also have students who are playing in bands.
Q. Why grades?
A. Learning from a syllabus can be a good idea. Even if you don't take the exams, the books are still good to follow and use as reference.
